Finnish Foundation of Veterinary Research
The purpose of the Finnish Foundation of Veterinary Research is to support and advance the following aims in Finland: veterinary research, practical veterinary work, and national health sciences performed by a veterinarian.
The Foundation was established in 1966, when the Finnish veterinary association donated the core funds from its scientific fund and Greta and Werner Heinonen-fund aimed for veterinary research.

TRAVEL GRANTS OF THE FINNISH FOUNDATION OF VETERINARY RESEARCH 2025
The purpose of the Finnish Foundation of Veterinary Research is to support and develop veterinary research, practical veterinary care, and public health work conducted by veterinarians in Finland. The foundation awards grants twice a year.
In spring 2025, a total of €20,000 will be distributed as travel grants of varying amounts. Travel grants are primarily awarded to individuals attending a scientific conference and presenting a paper or a poster.
Applications are submitted through the online portal at www.sels.fi. The application period is from January 13 to February 9, 2025. Applications will not be considered if the applicant has not reported on previous grants received from the Foundation in accordance with the guidelines
